Connected Athletics (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of student-athletes, parents, coaches, and all visitors who use our website at www.connectedathletics.org and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access our Platform.

1. Who We Are

Connected Athletics is an NCAA recruiting and athlete development platform operated by Connected Athletics Inc. Our Platform provides academic planning, NCAA eligibility guidance, performance film analysis, and social media brand development to student-athletes across the United States. Our expert staff includes former NCAA and NFL professionals who guide athletes in preparation for college recruiting and life after sports.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you register, subscribe, or interact with our Platform, we may collect:

  • Full name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • Student-athlete information including grade level, graduation year, sport(s), and position
  • Academic records, transcripts, and GPA data submitted for NCAA eligibility reviews
  • Athletic performance data, game film, highlight reels, and video uploads
  • Social media profile handles (including X/Twitter) submitted for brand audits
  • Payment and billing information for subscription services
  • Communications you send to us via contact forms, email, or support channels

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our Platform, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and clickstream data

  • To deliver expert film breakdowns, recruiting guidance, and content calendar strategies

  • To notify you about the upcoming Connected Athletics mobile app launch
  • To improve our Platform, develop new features, and analyze usage trends

4. Legal Basis for Processing (Where Applicable)

We may share athlete profiles, performance reports, or branding materials with college coaches or recruiters only where you or your parent/guardian have expressly authorized such sharing.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Connected Athletics, our users, or the public.

5.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our Platform of any such change.

6. Minor Athletes — Special Protections

Our services are designed for high school student-athletes, many of whom may be under the age of 18. We take the following steps to protect minors:

  • We require parental or guardian consent before collecting personal information from athletes under 13 years of age, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
  • For athletes between 13 and 17, we encourage parental involvement in account creation and management.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
  • If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 12.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, remember your preferences, and analyze site traffic. Types of cookies we use include:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the Platform to function correctly
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our site (e.g., pages viewed, session duration)
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings and personalization choices
  • Marketing cookies: Used to deliver relevant content and measure campaign effectiveness

8. SMS/Text Messaging Communications

By providing your mobile phone number and affirmatively opting in, you consent to receive SMS/text messages from Connected Athletics regarding account notifications, service updates, appointment reminders, informational alerts, and other communications related to our services. Message frequency may vary based on your interactions with us. Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

You may opt out of receiving SMS/text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. Upon receipt of your opt-out request, you will no longer receive non-essential text communications from us, though we may still send messages necessary to fulfill ongoing service obligations or as otherwise permitted by law.

Your mobile number and related consent records will be maintained and used in accordance with this Privacy Statement. We do not sell or share your mobile phone number with third parties for their independent marketing purposes. We may share information with trusted service providers solely for the purpose of facilitating text message delivery and related communication services, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection requirements.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide our services. We may also retain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

10. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS), access controls, and periodic security assessments.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
